The Path to the Gate

Outside my window, the opalescant sky like a huge lightbox - silhouetted birds like paper cutouts scattered on its surface. Abundant greenery narrows the path to the gate, lush foliage reaching out as I pass, touching my shoulder and reminding me of summer.
