Baubles shine up from dark floorboards, strings of silver bells meander across the rug, twinkly lights dimmed for another year. Festive sparkles harvested from the magic land that was my room. The sturdy brown box, open and waiting for treasure. The mantlepiece frosted with glitter gives a strange twist to the now barren room.

Susannah, I love these captured moments. They're beautiful.
I may point this semester's creative writing students to this blog and challenge them to do same each day. (If you don't mind, of course.)

Hi Jen - that would be great.
I know how much I enjoy writing this blog, in fact it is one of my favourites. I have almost completed the first year of this blog and have really enjoyed it.
I hope your students enjoy the exercise too.
Thank you for coming by and sharing my captured moments.
Susannah x
