Lilac grows up into the endless blue of the sky - a splash of colour added to the vast palette of greens. Jackdaw on the fence post, his pale blue eyes a flash a silver among the shadows and sunlight.

A lovely image Susannah. I miss spring in England the most of all the seasons.
It's pouring with rain, and thunder and lightning just adds to that spring feeling here in Newfoundland today. lol
Thanks Paul. :-)
How did you end up in Newfoundland?
lilacs...we have them at our weekend house in galena..and they are heavenly
nice descriptions
Hi, I like the imagery. I am trying to grow a lilac bush. I will know next season whether I can enjoy the bloom. Be well
Hi Suz and workinghard,
Lilac is such a beautiful colour and the smell is just wonderful!
Thankyou both very much for your comments - and workinghard thanks for visiting, it is great to see you here. :-)
Lilacs are divine. And you do have wonderful spring over there in the UK.
Yes we sure do Jennifer, thanks for visiting. :-)
Well Susannah, it's a long story, but I'll shorten it. I met someone special on-line, we talked for three years and then I sold my house and flew over here. We got married and here I am in Newfoundland. If someone had told me I'd be living here a few years ago I would have said there were crazy! lol Funny how the path of life runs.
Paul - What an wonderful story, isn't it amazing that life holds these things in store for us, things we would never have foreseen. . . I have had a few of those too!
Thanks for sharing that and adding a sense of adventure to my morning! :-)
You're very welcome, Susannah. Thank you for sharing your images of my homeland with me. As with all things you can't have, I miss England some days more than others. Especially this time of year. Spring was always my favourite time of year.
Well if it is any consolation Paul it isn't very Spring like here at the moment, it's raining and chilly here today! :-)
