Wisps of grey cloud float like smoke signals, haunting the twilight. Bats dive and swoop uncannily close to my window, speeding silhouettes on their nightly excursions. I watch the sky . . . waiting to see the Moon.

A lovely piece, Susannah. I used to love watching the bats fly overhead when I was sitting in my garden. I haven't seen a single one here in Newfoundland. Weird.
gosh that's pretty
I saw the moon so beautiful in the sky last night
bright and round
it waited for me!
Hi Paul, I had never seen Bats before I moved to live in the countryside, now they are regular visitors. In fact one even came down our chimney!
Thanks for popping in, it is always good to see you.
Suz, I am glad that the Moon waited for you to notice its beauty, it needs people who can see it and appreciate it. ;-)
