Last Day of February

Low cloud, grey skies, drizzle. Lichen covered stone. Catkins swaying in the breeze. Tiny new buds emerging from winter twigs. Forsythia's first yellow blazes in the shadows and the hardy evergreen sits solid in the rapidly waking earth.

Hi Susannah.
I love your descriptions of the waking of nature after winter -very visual!
In Ireland, we are enjoying some mild sunny weather and the start of daffodils.
A new government beckons too... progress abounds!

Hi Mari, we had the sun last week, it was wonderful. No Daffodils in my garden yet though I can see them coming up.

Good to see you, thanks as always for dropping in. x

You are a poet, Susannah. I am convinced of it. You remind me of my childhood days of hedgerows, brambles and green meadows. The catkins are just lovely!
