As Night Falls

The hushed night falls as quiet as a breath over my garden. Silhouetted against the indigo sky, bats navigate at speed, swooping low and agile. Nocturnal birds weaving their dark magic into the fabric of the coming night.

I love your header. So lovely.

Your last line is really, really nice. I have often thought that when I hear the birds call at night - it IS as if they are part of the fabric of the night.

Another beautiful moment from you!

You capture these moments so beautifully Susannah, and make the lowly bat a creature of romance and magic.

The bat is a symbol of shamanic power, the ability to deal with both light and dark and traverse the ground between them. Wonderful observation in making them part of the fabric of the night.
