Last Sunset of July

Through the trees, a band of fire sets the horizon alight. The Sun is singing its radiant farewell, leaving the marshmallow sky to ready itself for another night.

Beautiful way to end this month of daily stones. I, for one, don't really want to quit. I love these daily observations.

Thanks Elizabeth. :-)

Yes, I know what you mean, which is why I am glad that this blog is ongoing.

Though I won't post every day it is good to know it is here.

I have also met some really nice new people though taking part this month and I hope to continue to share some moments with them too.

Hi Susannah
Fab description of the sunset & good to know your are having some sunshine. We are still waiting for it to show here this week in Kildare (Ireland)!
Well done on your month of posts. I didn't get to comment as much as I would have liked but I did read all of them.

True appreciation for dusk... so beautiful. Susannah.
And you have prompted me to reconsider how I capture my moments, my stones. Shall I create another online space, as you have here, or keep them in a moleskine, just for me... Pondering possibilities!

Hi Kim,

It has been a wonderful exercise for me to keep this ongoing series of observations. I get to look back and notice things, like 'the lilac bloomed two days earlier this year' or 'March often brings those feelings, hmmm I wonder why?' etc.

I remember special days and sights and sounds, plus I have all of these snippets and quotes to draw from.

So, If I were you, I should seriously consider starting an online space such as this, it is a richer and far more beautiful experience than you can imagine. :-)
